Let readers unlock single articles or day passes without subscribing. Purchases accrue on a Tabline tab charged once at $5; you keep 80%.

== Description ==

Tabline adds a "$1 to read this article" option next to your subscribe button. Nothing is charged at unlock time: purchases go on the reader's tab, charged once when it reaches $5 or after 30 days. You set the prices, keep 80% of every unlock (paid through your own Stripe account), receive each reader's email, and every unlock screen carries your subscription offer. When a reader subscribes, Tabline steps aside and records the conversion on your dashboard.

Works out of the box with Leaky Paywall (entitled readers pass the existing access check), and with any client-side gate via the `tab:unlock` DOM event. Other paywalls integrate through the `tab_access_entitled` filter or `tab_access_is_entitled()`.

If Tabline is ever unreachable, your site behaves exactly as it did before the plugin existed.

A Tabline publisher account is required: https://tabline.net

== Installation ==

1. Upload and activate the plugin.
2. In Settings → Tabline, enter the API origin (https://tabline.net), your publisher slug, and your API key.
3. Set your prices from your Tabline dashboard. Done.

If you run a full-page cache, exclude gated URLs or bypass the cache when the `tab_token` cookie is present.
